Certification comparison

CIPP/E, CIPP/US or AIGP?

Choose CIPP/E for European data protection and GDPR work. Choose CIPP/US for United States private-sector privacy. Choose AIGP for AI governance across the system life cycle.

Which path best matches your work?

The three certifications cover different professional problems. Start with the laws, systems and region that you expect to work with most often.

Study AIGP

Use this route if you need to understand and govern AI systems across their life cycle.

Take the AIGP diagnostic

Two mistakes to avoid

Choosing CIPP/E as a general privacy prerequisite

CIPP/E is most useful when European data protection and GDPR practice are central to your work. It is not a substitute for a United States privacy focus.

Treating AIGP as a substitute for regional privacy law

AIGP focuses on AI governance. It can complement privacy expertise, but it does not replace study of a regional privacy regime.
